About Chuck Comeau
Chuck Comeau was born on September 17, 1979. His parents are Françoise and André Comeau. He has a brother named Louis. Chuck went to Beaubois high school in Montreal, Quebec. There, he met his future Simple Plan bandmates Pierre Bouvier, Sébastien Lefebvre, and Jeff Stinco. They all formed Simple Plan together. Chuck first studied law at McGill University, but he left to focus on his music career.
Music Career
Starting with Reset (1993–1999)
Chuck started his music journey in 1993 when he was 13 years old. He played with Pierre Bouvier in the band Reset. Chuck left Reset in 1998 to study law. However, he soon left university to follow his dream of making music. He later met up with Bouvier again at a Sugar Ray concert. They decided to form a new band in 1999. They teamed up with their old school friends Sébastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco. This new band became Simple Plan. Later, David Desrosiers joined Simple Plan too.
Chuck released one album with Reset called No Worries in 1997.
Simple Plan (1999–Present)
After leaving Reset, Chuck became the drummer for Simple Plan. Simple Plan has sold more than 15 million albums around the world.
Chuck has been part of all Simple Plan's albums:
- No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls (2002)
- Still, Not Getting Any (2004)
- Simple Plan (2008)
- Get Your Heart On! (2011)
- Taking One for the Team (2016)
- Harder Than It Looks (2022)
Simple Plan has also released two EPs (shorter albums): Live in Anaheim (2004) and Get Your Heart On – The Second Coming! (2013). They also have two live albums: Live in Japan 2002 (2003) and MTV Hard Rock Live (2005). Chuck also directed a video album for the band called A Big Package for You (2002).
Role Model Clothing
In 2001, before Simple Plan signed with a big record label, Chuck, Pierre Bouvier, and their friend Patrick Langlois started a clothing company. They called it Role Model Clothing. They wanted to create clothes that showed their love for music and their lifestyle. You can even see the band members wearing these clothes in some Simple Plan music videos.
The brand became less active around 2010. This was because Simple Plan was very busy working on and promoting their fourth album, Get Your Heart On!. In 2013, Chuck explained that they had paused the clothing line. He said they wanted to bring it back in the future. He thought it would be better to keep it simple, focusing on hoodies, caps, and t-shirts.
In 2017, when Simple Plan's first album turned 15, the band brought back two "old-school designs" from Role Model Clothing. These were available for a short time at their merchandise stand.
