Sébastien Lefebvre (born June 5, 1981) is a Canadian musician. He is best known as the rhythm guitarist and a singer for the rock band Simple Plan. He has also made his own music and worked with other artists.

About Sébastien Lefebvre

Sébastien Lefebvre was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He started his music career in 1999. He is a founding member of the popular band Simple Plan. Besides playing guitar, he also sings backing vocals for the band.

Music Gear

Sébastien uses special equipment to make his music sound great. He uses Framus guitars, especially the Mayfield model. For his sound, he uses Mesa Boogie and Framus amplifiers. He also uses special pedals like a modified Boss chorus pedal and T-Rex Replica and Tremster pedals. These help him create different sounds for his guitar.

Man of the Hour Podcast

In 2007, Sébastien Lefebvre started a music podcast called "Man of the Hour." He created it with Patrick Langlois from MusiquePlus. A podcast is like a radio show you can listen to online. This show shares fun facts and new music with listeners. You can find it on iTunes.

Solo Music Projects

Sébastien has also released music on his own. In 2009, he released an acoustic EP (which is like a mini-album) called You Are Here / Vous Êtes Ici. The first song from it was "I Fall for You." A music video for this song was made by his bandmate, Chuck Comeau.

He released another EP called Les Robots in 2011. This one was given away for free when it came out. In 2012, he released his third EP, More Sake Por Favor.

Working with Katie Rox

In November 2010, Sébastien worked with another Canadian musician named Katie Rox. They released a special EP together called Christmas Etc.... It was a collection of Christmas-themed songs.

Music Production Work

Sébastien Lefebvre also helps other musicians create their songs. He has worked as a producer and songwriter for many artists. For example, he helped Canadian singer-songwriter Andee with her first album, Black and White Heart. One song from that album, "Never Gone," even won an award in 2015.

He also produced an album for Wilfred Le Bouthillier. Sébastien even produced a cover song for Simple Plan. It was a version of "Justified Black Eye" by No Use for a Name, made for a tribute album to Tony Sly.
