The Church of La Milagrosa is a Roman Catholic church in Madrid, Spain. It used to be called the Church of San Vicente de Paul. This church is quite large, covering about 900 square meters (or 9,687 square feet). It is located on Calle García de Paredes.
The church was built between 1900 and 1904. Two main architects worked on it: Juan Bautista Lázaro de Diego and Narciso Clavería y de Palacios. The building has a mix of styles. Its outside looks like Neo-Mudéjar architecture, which is inspired by old Moorish designs. But the inside is mostly Neo-Gothic, a style that reminds people of medieval cathedrals.

How Old is the Church of La Milagrosa?
Construction of the church began in 1900 and finished in 1904. The architects who designed this special building were Juan Bautista Lázaro de Diego and Narciso Clavería y de Palacios. Lázaro de Diego was known for his Gothic Revival architecture, which brought back old Gothic styles. Clavería y de Palacios was famous for his Moorish Revival architecture, which used designs from ancient Moorish buildings.
In 1977, the Spanish government decided to protect the church. It was listed as a building of historical importance. This means it is a Bien de Interés Cultural, or a "Property of Cultural Interest." This helps make sure the church is preserved for the future.
What Does the Church of La Milagrosa Look Like?
The outside of the church shows off Neo-Mudéjar features. This style uses elements like brickwork patterns and horseshoe arches, similar to old Spanish-Moorish buildings. The inside, however, is mostly Neo-Gothic. This means it has tall arches, pointed windows, and other details typical of Gothic cathedrals.
The church covers a large area of 900 square meters. The front of the church has two towers, one on each side. Each tower starts with a square base and then changes to an eight-sided steeple at the top. In the past, the church also featured a beautiful mosaic created by the artist Daniel Zuloaga.
