The Church of St Margaret of Scotland, also known as St Margarets Catholic Church, is a Roman Catholic church. You can find it on St Margaret's Road in St Margarets, Twickenham, which is part of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
The church building was designed by the architect Austin Winkley. It first opened its doors in 1969. In 1999, it became a Grade II listed building, which means it's an important historical building.
About St Margaret's Church
The church is named after an 11th-century English princess. She was a Saxon princess who became Queen of Scotland. This happened when she married Malcolm III, the King of Scotland.
She was later made a saint by Pope Innocent IV in 1250. This process is called "canonisation."
Visiting the Church
Church services, called Mass, are held regularly. You can attend Mass on Saturday and Sunday evenings. There are also services every morning, except on Thursdays.
