María Clara Sosa Perdomo, born on September 25, 1993, is a talented model and TV host from Paraguay. She became famous for winning two big beauty contests: Miss Grand Paraguay in 2018 and then Miss Grand International 2018. She made history as the first woman from Paraguay to win the Miss Grand International title.

Her Early Life and Work

Clara Sosa was born in Asunción, the capital city of Paraguay. She grew up in a nearby city called San Lorenzo. Clara works as a model for a company called ON Management. She is also a friendly host on a morning TV show called La mañana de Unicanal.

Her Journey in Beauty Pageants

Clara Sosa has taken part in several beauty pageants. These are competitions where people are judged on their looks, talent, and personality.

  • In 2015, Clara competed in the Miss Model of the World contest. She did very well, making it into the Top 20 semifinalists.
  • On June 9, 2018, Clara won the title of Miss Grand Paraguay 2018. The final event was held at the Hotel Guarani Theatre. She took over the title from Lia Duarte Ashmore, who was Miss Grand Paraguay in 2017.

Winning Miss Grand International

As Miss Grand Paraguay, Clara Sosa then went on to compete in the Miss Grand International 2018 pageant. This big event took place on October 25, 2018, in Yangon, Myanmar. Clara won the competition, becoming Miss Grand International 2018!

She received her crown from María José Lora of Peru, who was the Miss Grand International 2017 winner. Clara Sosa was the first person from Paraguay to ever win this important title. She was also the second winner from the continent of South America.
