Clarence Maurice Mitchell IV (born May 16, 1962) is an American radio host and politician. He currently co-hosts The C4 And Bryan Nehman Show on Baltimore radio station WBAL. Mitchell served in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1995 to 1999. He then served in the Maryland Senate from 1999 to 2003. He was a member of the Democratic Party.

Early Life and Family
Clarence Mitchell IV was born on May 16, 1962. He grew up in Maryland as part of a well-known political family. His father was Clarence Mitchell III. His grandfather was Clarence Mitchell, Jr.. Many members of his family have been involved in politics.
He went to several schools in Maryland. These included Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, University of Maryland, College Park, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Morgan State University. In 1984, he worked for Walter Mondale's campaign for president.
Becoming a Politician
Clarence Mitchell IV served in the Maryland House of Delegates. This is a part of the state's government. He was a State Delegate from January 1995 to January 1999. After that, he became a State Senator. He served in the Maryland Senate from January 1999 to January 2003. He held the same Senate seat that his father and uncle had held before him.
In 2002, he ran for re-election to the Senate but did not win. He believed this was because he had opposed a plan by the governor. This plan was about how voting districts were drawn. He also supported a Republican candidate for governor, Bob Ehrlich. Mitchell also faced a public reprimand in 2002. This was for accepting a loan in 1997 when he was a State Delegate. He later said he did not break any ethics rules or state laws.
After Bob Ehrlich won the election for governor, Mitchell was hired for a new job. He became the director of the Office of Urban Development. However, he resigned from this position shortly after.
Life in Radio
Clarence Mitchell IV also has a career in radio. In 1995, he was part of a radio show called "The Mitchells' Maryland Magazine." His father and sister also hosted this show.
In 2007, he started hosting The C4 Show on WBAL (AM) in Baltimore. This was a talk show. Over the years, the show's length and time slot changed. In 2012, his program was made longer after another radio host passed away. In 2020, he teamed up with Bryan Nehman. Their show is now called Mornings With C4 And Bryan Nehman. It airs on weekdays.
