Clareville is a beautiful suburb located in northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It's about 36 kilometres north-east of the main city area of Sydney. Clareville is part of the stunning Northern Beaches region and is managed by the Northern Beaches Council.

Clareville's History

Clareville has an interesting past! Back in the 1830s, a Catholic priest named Father John Joseph Therry received two large pieces of land. This land included the area we now know as Clareville.

From Water Access to Roads

For a long time, people mostly reached Clareville by boat. It was a bit like a hidden gem! In the early 1920s, the land was divided into smaller blocks. Many people from Sydney bought these blocks to build holiday homes. They loved coming here for vacations.
