Clark is a small, quiet place in Nevada. It's not a city with its own government. Instead, it's an unincorporated community. This means it's part of a larger county. Clark is located in both Storey County and Washoe County. It's about 17 miles east of the cities of Reno and Sparks.
You can reach Clark from the north using Interstate 80. Take the USA Parkway exit. If you are coming from the west, you can use roads from nearby Lockwood.
Clark has had a few different names over time. People have also called it Clark Siding, Clark Station, Clarks, and Clarks Siding.

History of Clark, Nevada
Clark has a simple but interesting history. It started as a small settlement.
Early Days and James Clark
Around the year 1862, a man named James Clark settled in this area. He was in charge of Chinese workers who were building the Central Pacific Railroad. James Clark was a farmer. He grew potatoes and hay. These crops were important for the people living in nearby Virginia City.
Post Office Names
The community also had a post office at different times. From April 1890 to March 1894, the post office was known as Clarks. Later, it was called Clark from November 1906 to March 1907. It also operated as Clark from July 1912 to July 1919.
Modern Industry Nearby
Today, a very important factory is located close to Clark. This is Tesla's Gigafactory 1. This huge factory makes batteries for electric cars and energy storage.
