Claycomo is a small village in Clay County, Missouri. It is part of the larger Kansas City metropolitan area. The name "Claycomo" is a mix of "Clay County, MO". This is called a portmanteau, which means combining parts of two words to make a new one.

In 2020, about 1,343 people lived in Claycomo. A big part of the village is home to the Ford Motor Company's Kansas City Assembly Plant. This plant builds cars and trucks.
