Clearwater's History
Clearwater got its name from a textile mill that used to be there. Textile mills are factories where cloth is made. This mill was an important part of the community's early days.
Where is Clearwater Located?
Clearwater is found at 33°30′20″N 81°54′27″W / 33.50556°N 81.90750°W. This location is about 5 miles (8 km) east of downtown Augusta, Georgia. Part of Clearwater shares a border with North Augusta. The town of Burnettown is also right next to Clearwater on its eastern side.
