Cleveland Landmarks Commission facts for kids
The Cleveland Landmarks Commission is like a special team in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. Their main job is to decide which old buildings, important places, or historic neighborhoods are special enough to be called "landmarks." Cleveland has many old streets, areas, and buildings. This commission helps choose the ones that are really important to the people of Cleveland and the whole United States. Two of the oldest buildings they've listed are the Dunham Tavern Museum, built in 1824, and the Old Stone Church, built in 1855, which is located in Public Square.
