Cliff Meely (born July 10, 1947 – died May 29, 2013) was an American professional basketball player. He played for five seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Cliff was known for his amazing skills in college. He played for the Colorado Buffaloes team. His jersey number, 20, was retired by the University of Colorado. This is a very special honor for a player.

Cliff Meely's College Basketball Journey

Cliff Meely started his college basketball career at Northeastern Junior College in Colorado. He played there for one year. After that, he moved to the University of Colorado Boulder. He played for the Colorado Buffaloes from 1968 to 1971.

Becoming a Star Player

During his time at Colorado, Cliff was a top player. He still holds records for the most points and rebounds per game in the school's history. He was chosen as an "All-Conference" player every year he played. This means he was one of the best players in the Big Eight Conference. In his final year, he was even named a first-team All-American. This honor means he was one of the best college players in the entire country.

Playing in the NBA
