Clover is a small community in Halifax County, Virginia, in the United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is a special area defined by the government for counting people. In 2010, about 438 people lived there.
Clover used to be an official town from 1895 until 1998. After that, it became an unincorporated community again. This means it is not governed by its own town council.
A special school, called a Rosenwald school, was built in Clover around 1921 or 1922. It had three teachers and was on a 2-acre campus. These schools helped provide education for African American children in the South.
Near Clover, there is a historic farm and house called Black Walnut. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. This list includes places important to history.
