History of Cloverleaf
Cloverleaf began as a stop along the Beaumont, Sour Lake, and Western Railway. This was a train line that helped connect different places. Maps from 1936 already showed an early version of the community. By 1990, Cloverleaf had grown to have over 18,000 residents and many churches.
Geography of Cloverleaf
Cloverleaf is found in the east central part of Harris County. It is located between two other communities, Jacinto City and Channelview. The community is right along Interstate 10, which is a major highway. Cloverleaf covers an area of about 8.6 square kilometers (or 3.3 square miles), and it is all land.
