What is the Coconut Development Board?
The Coconut Development Board, or CDB, is a special organization created by the Indian government. It was started to help everything about coconuts in the country. This includes making sure more coconuts are grown and that people find many different uses for them.
When did the CDB start?
The CDB officially began on 12 January 1981. Since then, it has been working hard to support coconut farmers and industries.
Where is the CDB located?
The main office, or headquarters, of the Coconut Development Board is in Kochi, a city in Kerala.

* The CDB has 7 special farms called Demonstration cum Seed Production (DSP) Farms. These farms show farmers how to grow coconuts well and produce high-quality coconut seeds. * There is a Market Development cum Information Centre in Delhi. This centre helps sell coconut products and shares useful information about coconuts. * A Technology Development Centre is located at Vazhakulam, near Aluva in Kerala. This centre works on new ideas and technologies for using coconuts.
