Colin Fassnidge is a famous chef, author, and TV star from Ireland. He is well-known for being a judge on the cooking show My Kitchen Rules since 2013. Colin also shares his cooking tips on the TV program Better Homes and Gardens with Karen Martini. In 2022, he hosted Kitchen Nightmares Australia. He was the first chef in Australia to have a pub that earned two special "Chef's Hats" awards.
Colin's Exciting Career
Colin Fassnidge has run several restaurants. These included Four in Hand and 4Fourteen. He now owns a restaurant called Banksia. He also runs The Castlereagh by Fassnidge bistro. It is located at the City Tattersalls Club.
Colin was a judge on the Australian cooking show My Kitchen Rules. He started judging in 2013 and continued until 2021. From 2013 to 2019, he judged the Kitchen HQ cook-off and final rounds. He worked alongside Liz Eagan, Karen Martini, and Guy Grossi.
In 2020, Colin became a main judge for the eleventh season. This season was called MKR: The Rivals. He judged with long-time hosts Manu Feildel and Pete Evans. Colin returned to judge the cook-off and final rounds in 2022. This was for the twelfth season. He judged with Curtis Stone and Gary Mehigan. In 2023, he became a main judge again. He co-hosted with Manu Feildel. Nigella Lawson also returned as a judge for the cook-offs and finals.
Colin has written two cookbooks. His first book, Four Kitchens, came out in 2014. His second cookbook, The Commonsense Cook, was released in 2020. These books share his cooking knowledge.
In January 2021, Colin appeared on a reality TV show. It was the seventh season of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia. He was the tenth person to leave the show. He finished in fifth place.
In March 2022, it was announced that Colin would host a new show. It was an Australian version of Kitchen Nightmares. This show aired on Channel 7.
In 2023, Colin was a guest speaker at Winetopia Auckland. This was a special event. It was the first time since 2020 that the event had international speakers.
In January 2024, the Seven Network announced more news. Colin Fassnidge joined the TV show Better Homes and Gardens. He became a food presenter. He works alongside Karen Martini on the show.

Colin Fassnidge married Jane Hyland in 2006. They met while working at the same restaurant. They have two daughters together. The family lives in Sydney, Australia. Colin has citizenship in both Ireland and Australia.
