Colorow Point Park is a small but amazing park located on Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. It's a special place that was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 15, 1990. The park is named after Chief Colorow, a famous leader of the Ute people. He used to set up his camps on Lookout Mountain during the summer months. He even held important tribal meetings at a spot called Inspiration Tree, which was on the side of Dinosaur Ridge.
Even though Colorow Point Park is the smallest park in the Denver Mountain Parks system, covering only about 0.37 acres (that's less than half the size of a football field!), it's incredibly popular. Why? Because it offers truly breathtaking views from its high point of 7,500 feet above sea level!
