The Cordillera Quimsa Cruz is a beautiful mountain range in Bolivia, a country in South America. It is located in the La Paz Department. This mountain range stretches for about 35 to 40 kilometers (around 22-25 miles) long. It is about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) wide at its widest part.

You can find it south-east of Lake Titicaca and north of Lake Uru Uru. The Cordillera Quimsa Cruz is actually a part of the larger Cordillera Real of Bolivia. It extends from the Asiento pass, which is south of the famous Illimani mountain, all the way to the Tres Cruces pass.

The name Kimsa Cruz or Quimsa Cruz has a special meaning. It comes from two languages: Aymara and Spanish. Kimsa means "three" in the Aymara language. Cruz means "cross" in the Spanish language. So, the name means "three crosses."

The Cordillera Quimsa Cruz is home to many impressive peaks. The highest mountain in this range is Jachacunocollo, which stands at about 5,800 meters (19,029 feet) tall. That's super high!
