Corey Michael Cott, born on March 30, 1990, is a talented American actor and singer. He is famous for his roles in Broadway musicals. He played Jack Kelly in Newsies and was the first to play Donny Novitski in Bandstand.

Corey Cott's Early Life and School
Corey Cott was born in Columbus, Mississippi. He is the oldest of three children. His younger brother, Casey Cott, is also an actor. Corey grew up in Michigan and Ohio. He went to Chagrin Falls High School. After high school, he studied acting at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Corey Cott's Acting Career
Corey started acting professionally while he was still in college. He performed in shows with a theater company called Pittsburgh CLO. Some of these shows included Miss Saigon, Jekyll and Hyde, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, Corey moved to New York City. Soon after, he got a big role in the Broadway musical Newsies. He first played Jack Kelly as an alternate actor, meaning he shared the role. Then, on September 5, 2012, he took over the role full-time.
Corey also starred in the musical Bandstand. This show opened on Broadway on April 26, 2017. In it, he played Donny Novitski, a veteran from World War II. He had also performed this role when the musical first started in October 2015.
In 2019, Corey joined the cast of a TV show called Filthy Rich. He played a character named Eric Monreaux. The show started on September 21, 2020. After working on TV, he returned to the theater in 2024. He starred in a new Broadway musical called The Heart of Rock and Roll. This musical comedy uses songs by the band Huey Lewis and the News.
Corey Cott's Family Life
Corey Cott married Meghan Woollard in January 2013. They first met while singing in church in Pittsburgh. Their first child, a son named Elliott Michael, was born on May 1, 2017. In August 2019, they welcomed their second son, Nolan. On October 31, 2021, the couple had their third son, Asher.
Corey grew up with Ben Fankhauser, who later became his co-star in Newsies. They performed together in many local youth theater shows when they were younger.
