Corey Michael Glover (born November 6, 1964) is an American singer. He is best known as the lead singer of the rock band Living Colour. He has also toured with the funk band Galactic. Besides music, Corey is an actor. He played the character Francis in the 1986 war movie Platoon.

Corey Glover's Music Journey
Corey Glover was born in Brooklyn, New York City. He wanted to be an actor when he was younger. In 1985, guitarist Vernon Reid asked him to join the band Living Colour. People say Vernon heard Corey singing "Happy Birthday" at a party!
Corey had already appeared in a TV commercial for the United States Army. He also acted in Oliver Stone's Vietnam War film, Platoon. He even starred in a TV show called Signs of Life. Corey also hosted different shows on VH1.
Living Colour quickly became famous. Their first album, Vivid, came out in 1988. It sold millions of copies! The song "Cult of Personality" from the album was a huge hit. It won a Grammy Award in 1989 for Best Hard Rock Performance. The band was also named Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Living Colour released two more albums, Time's Up and Stain. The band then took a break in 1995. After that, Corey started his own music projects. He used the name Reverend Daddy Love for his solo work. He also formed a band called Vice.
In 1995, Corey sang on a special album called In From The Storm. This album was a tribute to the famous guitarist Jimi Hendrix. Corey sang on two songs, "In From The Storm" and "Drifting."
Living Colour got back together on December 21, 2000. They played a surprise show at a club called CBGB's. This reunion led to a new album, Collideøscope, released in 2003.
In 2006, Corey took on a big role in a play. He played Judas Iscariot in a national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. He performed alongside Ted Neeley, who had played the main role since 1971. Corey said that seeing the movie version of this show as a child made him want to be an entertainer. He toured with the show until 2008.
Corey also sang "Superstar" from Jesus Christ Superstar at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006. This was to honor the play's composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Living Colour released their fifth album, The Chair in the Doorway, in 2009.
In 2010, Corey started touring as the singer for the band Galactic.
Corey also used a special way to fund his music. In 2011, he asked his fans to help pay for his next album, The Pledge. This allowed fans to be part of the music-making process. He released The Pledge in 2012.
In 2018, Corey formed a rock group called Ultraphonix. He also started a metal project called Disciples of Verity. Their album came out in 2020.
In 2023, Billboard magazine ranked Corey Glover very highly. He was named #45 on their list of the 50 Greatest Rock Lead Singers of All Time!
