Corey Williams (born April 24, 1970) is an American who used to play professional basketball. He is now an assistant coach for the Auburn Tigers team in the SEC Conference. He was also the head coach for Stetson University's men's basketball team.
Corey Williams played as a point guard. He was chosen by the Chicago Bulls in the 1992 NBA draft after playing for Oklahoma State University.

Corey Williams' Playing Career
Corey Williams played one season with the Chicago Bulls. During that time, he helped the team win the NBA Championship in 1993. He played in 35 games for the Bulls.
After playing for the Bulls, he joined the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 1993–94 season. He also spent some time playing for the Oklahoma City Cavalry in the Continental Basketball Association.
Interestingly, Corey Williams was also picked by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1992 NFL draft for football. However, he had not played football since junior high and never joined the team.
In 1995, Williams went to play basketball in Taiwan. He joined the Dacin Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Alliance. He was a key player for his team, leading in assists and scoring many points until 1998.
Corey Williams' Coaching Career
After his time as a player, Corey Williams started coaching. He returned to Oklahoma State as a student assistant coach in 1994. He was part of the Cowboys' staff when they reached the Final Four in the NCAA tournament that year.
From 2000 to 2007, Williams worked as an assistant coach at Oral Roberts University. Then, from 2007 to 2013, he was an assistant coach at Florida State University.
Head Coach at Stetson
On June 3, 2013, Corey Williams became the head coach for Stetson University's basketball team. He coached there for six years. His team's record during that time was 58 wins and 133 losses. He left the position on March 6, 2019.
Assistant Coach Roles
After Stetson, Williams continued his coaching journey as an assistant. From 2019 to 2021, he was an assistant coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He then moved to Texas Tech as an assistant coach from 2021 to 2023. For a short time in 2023, he was also the interim head coach for Texas Tech.
Since 2023, Corey Williams has been an assistant coach for the Auburn Tigers.
