Cornwells Heights-Eddington was a special area in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA. It was called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it was a place the government counted for population. In 2000, about 3,406 people lived there.
Later, for the 2010 census, this area was split. It became two separate CDPs: Cornwells Heights and Eddington. These are both small communities within Bensalem Township. Cornwells Heights is a bit to the southwest of Eddington. Both communities use the same ZIP code, 19020.
The area was bordered by the Delaware River to the south. To the east was Street Road. Hulmeville Road was to the north and west. Woodhaven Road was also to the west. The big city of Philadelphia is very close, less than a mile away. Like nearby Andalusia, this area has many single-family homes. These homes are mostly for middle-class families. They are built along streets that form a grid pattern. The main roads in the area include Street Road, Hulmeville Road, Brown Avenue, Bristol Pike, and State Road.
History of the Area
Some important buildings in the Cornwells Heights-Eddington area are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These include the Little Jerusalem AME Church, St. Elizabeth's Convent, and Trevose Manor. These places are important because they have a special history.
