The Story of Cosby Village
Cosby was first settled in the late 1870s. A few years later, in 1885, the entire village moved about one mile to a new spot. This move happened because a railroad line was built, and the community wanted to be closer to it. The village was named after Cosby Miller, who was the child of one of the first people to settle there. A post office has been serving the community of Cosby since 1879.
