Cottonwood is a small city in Kaufman County, Texas, United States. In 2020, about 181 people lived there. It's a quiet place in the Lone Star State.

Where is Cottonwood?

Cottonwood is located in the southwestern part of Kaufman County. You can find it along country roads. It's east of a town called Rosser. It's also south of Scurry and west of Grays Prairie.

The city is about 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Kaufman. Kaufman is the main city, or county seat, for Kaufman County. Cottonwood is also about 39 miles (63 km) southeast of the center of Dallas.
