History of Courcelles-sur-Vesle
Courcelles-sur-Vesle has a special place in history. A famous meeting happened here on March 27, 1810.
It was in front of the church that Napoléon Bonaparte met Marie-Louise. She was only 19 years old at the time. Napoléon was 41. Soon after, Marie-Louise became the Empress of the French.

The castle in Courcelles-sur-Vesle was built a long time ago, in 1694. A rich man named Baron Jacques de la Grange ordered it to be built.
In 1988, the castle was changed. It became a Hotel and a restaurant where people can stay and eat.
