Geography of Covington
Covington is located in the southeastern part of Garfield County. Oklahoma State Highway 74 runs right through the middle of town. This highway can take you north about 9 miles to Garber. If you head south, it's about 63 miles to Oklahoma City, a much larger city.
The county seat, Enid, is about 23 miles northwest. You can get there by taking OK 74 and then U.S. Route 412. Another road, Oklahoma State Highway 164, goes southeast and then east for about 18 miles to Perry.
The United States Census Bureau says that Covington covers about 1.1 square kilometers (or 0.5 square miles) of land. There is no water area within the town limits.
