Cowrock Mountain is a cool mountain located in the state of Georgia, right where Lumpkin and White counties meet. It's part of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This mountain is special because it has two main peaks. The northern peak, called Cowrock, stands tall at about 3,852 feet (1,174 meters). The southern peak, known as Cowrock Flat, is a bit lower at about 3,502 feet (1,067 meters).
The line that separates Lumpkin and White counties actually runs right along the top of Cowrock Mountain. This means the mountain acts like a natural border! The highest point in Lumpkin County is the Cowrock peak itself, located in the county's northeast corner.
