History of Coyville
Coyville was officially started in 1886. This happened when the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway built its train tracks to this area. The town was named after Oscar Coy. He owned a store and was the very first postmaster (the person in charge of the post office) back in 1866.
Today, Coyville is a very small community. It has a vehicle-body repair shop and a community hall. There is also a church and a cemetery. Most of the roads in Coyville are made of white gravel.
