Crescent Lake is a beautiful natural lake located in Oregon, United States. You can find it on the eastern side of the Cascade Range, which is a big mountain chain. It's in the northwest part of Klamath County. The lake is shaped like a crescent moon, which is how it got its name!
Near the lake, about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) northeast, are the small community of Crescent Lake Junction and the Crescent Lake State Airport. Two explorers, Byron J. Pengra and William Holman Odell, named the lake in July 1865.
Fun at Crescent Lake
Crescent Lake is a great place for outdoor adventures! It's part of the Deschutes National Forest, a huge area of protected land with lots of trees and wildlife. The area has many trails perfect for hiking, riding horses, or mountain biking. There are also special areas where you can drive off-road vehicles.
Camping and Boating
