The Story of Curran
Curran became its own town on November 14, 1889. It was formed from a part of the nearby town of Hixton. The town got its name from four brothers of the Curran family. These brothers owned land in the area.
Where is Curran Located?
The town of Curran covers an area of about 36.2 square miles (93.8 square kilometers). All of this area is land. There are no large lakes or rivers within the town's borders.
Curran is surrounded by other towns. To the north, you'll find the town of Northfield. To the east is the town of Hixton. The town of Springfield is to the south. On the west side, Curran borders Trempealeau County. This includes most of the town of Pigeon and a small part of Preston.
