Cynthia is a small community known as a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada. It is located within Brazeau County. You can find Cynthia about 37 kilometers south of Highway 16. It is also about 131 kilometers southwest of Edmonton.
For a short time, Cynthia was officially recognized as a "new town." This happened on June 1, 1956. However, it stopped being a new town on May 1, 1959. This means it was a new town for almost three years.
