History of Cypress Inn
The name "Cypress Inn" comes from an old inn that used to be along the Natchez Trace. This inn was a resting place for travelers many years ago. Even though the inn is no longer there, the community kept its name. Many families have lived in this area for a very long time, with some owning land for generations. Some of these local families include Braunius, Holt, Dodd, Berry, Darby, Montgomery, and Pigg.
