Danell LaShawn Stevens Sr. (born December 12, 1969), known as D-Shot, is an American rapper. He comes from Vallejo, California.
D-Shot began his music journey with a rap group called The Click. This group included his siblings E-40 and Suga-T, along with his cousin B-Legit. His brother E-40 later started his own record label, Sick Wid It Records. The Click then released their first album, Down and Dirty. After this, each member of the group worked on their own music. D-Shot's first solo album, The Shot Calla, came out in 1993 through Sick Wid It Records. In 1995, D-Shot started his own label, Shot Records. He released his second album, Six Figures, in 1997 through his new label.
