Danell LaShawn Stevens Sr. (born December 12, 1969), known by his stage name D-Shot, is an American rapper from Vallejo, California. He is part of a famous musical family and is known for his work in the hip hop group The Click.
D-Shot began his career with The Click alongside his talented siblings, rapper E-40 and rapper Suga-T, and his cousin, rapper B-Legit. The group became popular in the West Coast hip hop scene.
When E-40 started his own record company, Sick Wid It Records, it gave all the members of The Click a chance to release their own music. D-Shot released his first solo album, The Shot Calla, in 1993. He later started his own record label called Shot Records in 1995 and released his second album, Six Figures, in 1997.

Work with The Click
The Click was a family hip hop group that helped launch D-Shot's career. Their first album together was Down and Dirty, released in 1992. The group released two more albums together:

Collaborations and Other Work
D-Shot has worked with many other famous artists during his career. One of his most notable appearances was on the song "Ain't Hard 2 Find" from 2Pac's classic 1996 album, All Eyez on Me. He was featured on the track along with his family members E-40 and B-Legit.
His music has also been included in movie and video game soundtracks. A song by The Click called "Captain Save a ..." was featured in the popular video game Grand Theft Auto V in 2013.
