Dalibor Riccardi was born on September 4, 1983. He is a politician from San Marino. He also used to be a football player. From October 2024 to April 2025, he served as one of the two leaders of San Marino, called Captains Regent.

Early Life and Education

Dalibor Riccardi was born in Borgo Maggiore, San Marino, on September 4, 1983. He went to the University of Urbino in Italy. There, he studied legal sciences and earned a degree. After finishing school, he worked as a clerk in a private company.

Dalibor loves sports. He played both football and padel. He played football for several years in San Marino's top league. This league is called the Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio. He started his football career with S.S. Cosmos in 2008.

His Football Career

Dalibor Riccardi played as a defender. In the 2009–10 season, he played four matches for S.S. Cosmos. During that same season, he also played six matches for SP La Fiorita.

From 2010 to 2013, he was a member of SS Folgore Falciano Calcio. He played in 40 matches for them and scored two goals. For the start of the 2013–14 season, he joined AC Libertas. He scored one goal and played in seven matches. Later that season, he returned to Folgore. He helped his team finish as runner-ups in the league.

Dalibor ended his football career with AC Virtus. He played for them from 2014 to 2016. He appeared in 11 matches for AC Virtus. Overall, he played in 71 matches in the Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio. He scored three goals during his career in the league.

His Political Journey

Dalibor Riccardi started his political career in 2010. He was elected to the council in Serravalle. He served two terms on this council. In 2016, he was elected to San Marino's parliament. This parliament is known as the Grand and General Council. He joined the parliament as a member of the Party of Socialists and Democrats (PSD).

At that time, his father, Marino Riccardi, was also serving as a Captain Regent. Dalibor became the leader of the PSD party. However, in 2018, he announced he was leaving the party. He then helped create a new party called Riforme e Sviluppo (RES). Other members who had left the PSD joined him in this new party.

After being re-elected in 2019, Riccardi helped form the Libera San Marino (Libera) party in 2020. He became the president of this new party. In the Grand and General Council, he joined important groups. These included commissions for foreign affairs, territorial policies, and the Council of XII.

For the 2024 general elections, his party, Libera, teamed up with the Socialist Party (PS). Later that year, he was chosen as one of the two Captains Regent. He served alongside Francesca Civerchia. Their six-month term began in October 2024 and ended in April 2025.
