Denise Bronzetti was born in the City of San Marino, which is the capital of San Marino. She was born on December 12, 1972. She went to high school in San Marino. After that, she continued her studies at the University of the Republic of San Marino.
Political Career
Denise Bronzetti started working for the government of San Marino in 1996. From 2002 to 2003, she worked as a private secretary for a government minister. Since 2006, she has worked in the Office for Labor and Active Policies. This office helps with jobs and work-related programs.
Bronzetti became interested in politics at a young age. She joined the Sammarinese Socialist Party when she was 15 years old. In the 2006 election, she was elected to the Grand and General Council. This is the main law-making body in San Marino. Later, she became the president of the Party of Socialists and Democrats (PSD). She also led a group called "Noi per la Repubblica" (We for the Republic) in the council.
Serving as Captain Regent
The Captains Regent are the two heads of state for San Marino. They serve for a short term of six months. Denise Bronzetti first held this important position from October 1, 2012, to April 1, 2013. She served alongside Teodoro Lonfernini during this time.
She was chosen to be Captain Regent again, starting on April 1, 2025. Her term is set to end on October 1, 2025. This means she has served as a leader of her country twice.
