Music Career Highlights
The Brobecks: Early Days and Return
Dallon Weekes helped start the indie pop band The Brobecks in 2002. He became the main songwriter and singer after the original vocalist left in 2003. The band recorded their first album, Understanding the Brobecks, in 2003. Their second album, Happiest Nuclear Winter, came out in 2005 and was well-received. Weekes chose to keep the band independent, even turning down offers from big record labels.
Over time, the band's members changed, and Weekes became the only official member after their 2006 album, Goodnight, and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow. In 2009, The Brobecks released their fourth album, Violent Things, with Weekes writing and singing all the songs. The band played their last show in 2013. However, in December 2024, The Brobecks announced that a remastered version of Happiest Nuclear Winter was released on January 1, 2025. The original members also announced a documentary film called Not Dead Yet, which covers their early albums. In March 2025, the reunited band confirmed they were working on new music.
Panic! at the Disco: Touring and Official Member
In 2009, Dallon Weekes joined Panic! at the Disco as a touring musician. He played bass and keyboards after two members left the band. By mid-2010, he was asked to join the band permanently. His full-time role was confirmed publicly in 2012.
As an official member, Weekes helped create the cover art for the band's 2011 album, Vices & Virtues. He also helped write most of the songs on their 2013 album, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!. Weekes was even nominated for Best Bassist at the 2015 Alternative Press Music Awards. In October 2015, Weekes announced he was no longer an official member, explaining that he was "not contributing creatively anymore." He finished touring with the band for their album Death of a Bachelor, and officially left Panic! at the Disco on December 27, 2017.
I Dont Know How But They Found Me: A New Duo
Weekes started writing and recording songs on his own while touring with Panic! at the Disco. He teamed up with former Brobecks bandmate Ryan Seaman, who played drums on these new songs. Weekes then suggested they form a duo called I Dont Know How But They Found Me.
The duo began playing secret shows in late 2016. They wanted to build their own fan base without relying on their past band connections. They officially signed with Fearless Records in August 2018. Their first EP, 1981 Extended Play, was released in November 2018. They also released a Christmas EP, Christmas Drag, in November 2019. The band's first full album, Razzmatazz, came out on October 23, 2020.
Solo Music Projects
Dallon Weekes has also worked on solo music. In September 2010, he released a free song called "Skid Row" from the musical Little Shop of Horrors. This song featured Brendon Urie from Panic! at the Disco and other musicians.
In November 2014, Weekes released a Christmas song called "Sickly Sweet Holidays." It featured Ryan Seaman on drums and Tyler Joseph from Twenty One Pilots on backing vocals. Weekes also started a cover song series called "TWOMINCVRS" in October 2015. He released these short cover songs (two minutes or less) on his YouTube channel. In 2016, he released another Christmas song, "Please Don't Jump (It's Christmas)".
Personal Life
Dallon Weekes married Breezy Douglas on March 18, 2006. They have two children together. Weekes is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has also shared that he has ADHD and autism.
