Early Life and Tennis Beginnings
Dalma Gálfi started playing tennis when she was five years old. Her father had two tennis courts, and he was the one who taught her how to play. This early start helped her become a talented player.

Junior Achievements
As a junior player, Dalma performed well in major tournaments:

2015: Junior World Champion Title
In December 2015, Dalma Gálfi was named the ITF Junior World Champion. This honor recognized her as the best junior tennis player in the world that year.
2021: Reaching a WTA Tour Semifinal and Major Debut
In July 2021, Dalma reached her first WTA Tour semifinal at the Budapest Grand Prix. She played as a wildcard in this tournament.
Later that year, after trying eight times, Dalma finally made it into the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament. This happened at the US Open, six years after she won the junior title there.
2022: Breaking into the Top 100 and US Open Success
Dalma entered the top 100 rankings on April 4, 2022, reaching No. 97. This happened after she won her first match at the WTA 1000 level in Miami.
In June, she won her first grass-court title on the ITF Circuit at the Ilkley Trophy. This helped her reach a new career-high ranking of world No. 81.
In July, she was the runner-up at the 2022 WTA 125 Contrexéville tournament.

2023: Debuts and Wimbledon Third Round
Dalma played in the Linz Open as a qualifier and reached the quarterfinals. She defeated Bernarda Pera and Eva Lys before having to stop her match against Markéta Vondroušová.
At the Indian Wells Open, she got into the main draw as a lucky loser. She then defeated world No. 31, Danielle Collins, which was her second big win at this level.
At Wimbledon, Dalma reached the third round for the first time. She won against Linda Nosková and Jule Niemeier before her run ended against Ekaterina Alexandrova.
2024: Semifinal on Grass
In Hua Hin, Thailand, Dalma reached her third career quarterfinal as a qualifier. She won against Ajla Tomljanović and Wang Xiyu.
At the Rosmalen Open, she reached her first grass-court semifinal. She defeated Arantxa Rus, Veronika Kudermetova, and Aleksandra Krunić. She lost her semifinal match to Bianca Andreescu. Dalma also played at Wimbledon, reaching the second round.
2025: First WTA 125 Titles
Dalma won her first WTA 125 title at the Oeiras Ladies Open in April. She defeated Katie Volynets in the final. The very next week, she won the WTA 125 Catalonia Open, beating Rebeka Masarova in the final.
In July at Wimbledon, Dalma had wins over Harriet Dart and Beatriz Haddad Maia to reach the third round. Her tournament ended with a loss to Amanda Anisimova.
At the Hamburg Open, she reached her first clay-court quarterfinal since 2021. She won against Aleksandra Krunić and Nastasja Schunk.
