Early Life and Tennis Beginnings
Linda Nosková grew up in a small village called Bystřička in the Vsetín region. Her parents were Ivana Nosková and Drahoš Nosek. Linda first started playing tennis when she was seven years old. She trained in Valašské Meziříčí. Three years later, she joined the TK Na Dolina club in Trojanovice. In 2018, she moved to Přerov to focus more on her tennis training.

Linda Nosková showed great promise as a junior player. She won the girls' singles title at the 2021 French Open. This big win helped her reach world No. 5 in the junior rankings on June 14, 2021.

Starting Professional Tennis (2019–2021)
Linda began her professional tennis journey in July 2019. She played in her first ITF Circuit tournament. In October of the same year, she played her first main-draw singles match and won. She reached her first professional semifinal a week later.
In August 2020, Linda played in the qualifying rounds of the Prague Open. She also made her debut on the WTA Challenger Tour. She finished 2020 with only a few tournaments.
The 2021 season was a busy one for Linda. In February, she reached her first ITF final. In March, she won her first two senior ITF titles in Bratislava. She won another 60k title at the Zubr Cup in August. By the end of 2021, she had won four singles titles and was a runner-up in doubles.
Breaking Through (2022): Major Debut and Top 100
Linda made her first appearance in a major tournament's main draw at the French Open. She was the youngest Czech player to compete in a major in many years. In her first match, she played against US Open champion Emma Raducanu. Linda won the first set but eventually lost the match. The next week, she reached the semifinals of a WTA 125 tournament.
In July, she won her first 100k title, at the Reinert Open. Three weeks later, she reached her first WTA Tour semifinal at the Prague Open. During this tournament, she defeated a top 50 player, Alizé Cornet. This win helped her enter the world's top 100 for the first time, at No. 94. She became the youngest woman in the top 100.
At the US Open, Linda qualified for the main draw. She defeated former top-10 player Eugenie Bouchard in the qualifying rounds. However, she lost in the first round of the main draw.
Rising in the Ranks (2023): First WTA Final and Top 40
Linda started 2023 ranked No. 102. At the Adelaide International 1, she qualified for the main draw. She then achieved her first win against a top 10 player, Daria Kasatkina. Linda continued her great run by beating Victoria Azarenka and Ons Jabeur. This led her to her first-ever WTA Tour final, where she played against Aryna Sabalenka. She lost the final but moved up to No. 56 in the rankings.
Even though she was in the top 100, Linda had to play in the qualifying rounds for the Australian Open. She lost in the first qualifying round. On February 6, 2023, she reached No. 50 in the rankings, becoming the youngest player in the top 50.
Linda also performed well at the Indian Wells Open and the Cincinnati Open. She reached the third round in both tournaments. She defeated strong players like Petra Kvitová along the way.
Big Moments (2024): Major Quarterfinal and First WTA Title
Linda made her debut at the Australian Open. She won her first matches there, reaching the third round. She then surprised everyone by defeating the world No. 1, Iga Świątek. This was her first time reaching the fourth round of a major tournament. She became the first teenager since 1999 to beat a world No. 1 at this event.
Linda advanced to the quarterfinals after her opponent, Elina Svitolina, retired. Although she lost in the quarterfinals, Linda entered the top 30 in the singles rankings on January 29, 2024.

Wimbledon Champion (2026): World No. 7
In 2026, Linda continued her impressive journey. At the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, she reached the semifinals. She also made it to the quarterfinals of the Stuttgart Grand Prix and the Madrid Open. In Madrid, she defeated world No. 3, Coco Gauff.
In June at the Berlin Open, she won her second WTA Tour singles title. She defeated Jessica Pegula in the final. This victory helped her enter the world's top 10 for the first time on June 22, 2026. The day after winning the singles title, Linda also won the doubles title with Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Linda had the best Grand Slam performance of her career at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships. She reached her first major semifinal by defeating Elise Mertens. Then, she beat Marta Kostyuk to reach her first Grand Slam singles final. This final was special because it was an all-Czech match against Karolína Muchová. Interests Beyond Tennis
Linda Nosková cares a lot about nature. She grew up in a small village surrounded by forests. She has always been interested in helping with environmental issues. She hopes to work on environmental projects after her tennis career.
In November 2025, Linda visited Zanzibar. She volunteered at a school there, teaching English and geography. Her tennis team was surprised by her decision! She saw a lot of poverty but also remembered many happy moments. She met a group of seven girls who were always excited to see her. The children in Zanzibar didn't even know what tennis was.
