Rebeka has achieved high rankings in her career, reaching No. 62 in singles and No. 125 in doubles in 2023. She is currently one of the top Swiss tennis players. A big moment in her early career was winning the junior French Open in 2016.

Her Family and Where She Grew Up

Rebeka's mother is from Spain, and her father is from Slovakia. She was born in Basel, Switzerland. This city is also the hometown of famous tennis player Roger Federer.

Watching Federer play in his first Wimbledon final in 2003 inspired Rebeka to start playing tennis herself.

Representing Different Countries

Rebeka started playing for Spain in January 2018. However, on December 24, 2024, she announced that she would represent Switzerland again.

Junior Career Highlights

Rebeka had a very successful junior career. In 2016, she reached the semifinals of the Australian Open junior tournament. Later that year, she won the junior French Open title. She beat the top-ranked player, Olesya Pervushina, in the semifinals and Amanda Anisimova in the final. She also reached the final of the Australian Open junior tournament in 2017.

Starting as a Professional (2016)

Rebeka made her first appearance in a main professional tournament in 2016. This was at the Gstaad Ladies Championship. In her very first match, she impressively defeated former world No. 1, Jelena Janković.

Grand Slam Debut and First Doubles Title (2021–2022)

Rebeka played in her first major tournament, the US Open, in 2021 after winning qualifying matches. She made it to the second round, winning a very long match against Ana Bogdan. She later lost to Elina Svitolina.

In 2022, Rebeka won her first doubles title at the Open Internacional de Valencia. She teamed up with Aliona Bolsova to win the final.

Reaching a WTA Tour Final (2023–2024)

In 2023, Rebeka reached her first-ever WTA Tour final at the 2023 Auckland Open after winning several qualifying matches. She played against Coco Gauff in the final but did not win. This great performance helped her enter the top 100 players in the world for the first time.

She also played in her first WTA 1000 tournament, the Madrid Open, where she reached the third round. Later in 2023, she had a big win at the US Open, defeating the eighth-seeded player, Maria Sakkari, in the first round.

In 2024, Rebeka played in the main draw of the WTA 1000 Indian Wells Open.

Recent Matches (2025)

In 2025, Rebeka continued to play well. At the Madrid Open, she won two matches to reach the third round. She also reached the final of the WTA 125 Catalonia Open.
