Dalroy is a small community in southern Alberta, Canada. It is known as a hamlet, which is a small settlement, usually smaller than a village.
Dalroy is located about 28 kilometers (18 miles) east of downtown Calgary. It is also very close to Highway 9, just 0.8 kilometers (0.5 miles) east of it.
The name 'Dalroy' has an interesting origin. It was created by combining the names of two of the first local merchants in the area: Mr. Dill and Mr. McElroy.
