Dalton Harris (born on December 29, 1993) is a singer from Jamaica. He became famous after winning two big singing competitions. First, he won Digicel Rising Stars in 2010. Later, in 2018, he won the final season of The X Factor in the United Kingdom.

Early Life and Background
Dalton Harris was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. He later moved to Kingston to follow his dream of becoming a singer. Dalton grew up in a large family and faced some tough times when he was younger. He started living on his own when he was 15 years old. He went to Kingston College and did well in his studies.
Music Career Highlights
Starting in Jamaica
In 2010, Dalton Harris won Digicel Rising Stars. This is a big singing competition in Jamaica. He was the youngest person to ever win it. He received a cash prize of 1.5 million Jamaican dollars. After winning, he started releasing his own music in Jamaica.
Dalton then spent five years traveling across the United States. He wanted to make his music known to more people. During this time, he released several songs. These included "I'm Numb," "Watch Over Me," and "That Wonderful Sound" in 2015. In 2016, he released "All I Need," "Whisper in the Wind," "Unfaithful Chronicles," and "Dem Kinda Woman." He also released "Perilous Time" in 2017. In 2018, he put out a joint album called Unintentional Astronaut with Mike Needler.
Winning The X Factor
In 2018, Dalton Harris joined The X Factor in the United Kingdom. This was the 15th season of the show. He sang "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" by Elton John for his audition. All four judges, Robbie Williams, Ayda Field, Louis Tomlinson, and Simon Cowell, said yes. Louis Tomlinson became his coach for the "Boys" category.
Because Dalton was so popular, The X Factor was even shown live in Jamaica. This was a big deal for his home country. During the show, Dalton sang many famous songs. He performed "Purple Rain" by Prince during the six-chair challenge. In the semi-final, he sang "I'm Feeling Good" and "Clown" by Emeli Sandé.
Dalton was a favorite to win the show throughout the competition. He made it to the final on December 1, 2018. He competed against Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee. In the final, he sang "A Song for You" by Leon Russell. He also performed a duet of "Beneath Your Beautiful" with Emeli Sandé. For his winner's song, he sang "The Power of Love." He sang this as a duet with James Arthur, who had won The X Factor in 2012. Dalton Harris won the competition!
