Dalton Harris, born on December 29, 1993, is a talented singer from Jamaica. He became famous after winning two big singing competitions. First, he won Digicel Rising Stars in Jamaica in 2010. Later, in 2018, he won the very last season of The X Factor in the United Kingdom, which is a huge music show!

Early Life and Education
Dalton grew up in Clarendon, Jamaica. He later moved to Kingston to follow his dream of becoming a singer. He went to Kingston College. There, he did well in his studies, passing six subjects in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams.
Music Career
Digicel Rising Stars
In 2010, Dalton Harris became the youngest person to win Digicel Rising Stars. This is a popular singing competition in Jamaica. He won a cash prize of 1.5 million Jamaican dollars. After his big win, he started releasing his own music in Jamaica.
Expanding His Music
Dalton then spent five years traveling across the United States. He wanted to share his music with more people. During this time, he released many songs. Some of his tracks include "I'm Numb," "Watch Over Me," and "That Wonderful Sound" in 2015. In 2016, he released "All I Need," "Whisper in the Wind," "Unfaithful Chronicles," and "Dem Kinda Woman." He also released "Perilous Time" in 2017. In 2018, he worked with Mike Needler to release a joint album called Unintentional Astronaut.
The X Factor UK
In 2018, Dalton Harris joined season 15 of The X Factor in the United Kingdom. This is a very famous singing competition. For his audition, he sang "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" by Elton John. All four judges, Robbie Williams, Ayda Field, Louis Tomlinson, and Simon Cowell, said yes to him!
Dalton was part of the "Boys" category, and Louis Tomlinson was his coach. Because Dalton was so popular, The X Factor was even shown live in Jamaica! This was thanks to Television Jamaica (TVJ) buying the rights to broadcast the show.
Key Performances
During the show, Dalton sang many amazing songs. In the six-chair challenge, he performed "Purple Rain" by Prince. In the semi-final, he sang "I'm Feeling Good." He also performed "Clown" by Emeli Sandé. Dalton was a favorite to win the show throughout the competition.
The Grand Final
On December 1, 2018, Dalton reached the final of The X Factor. He competed against Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee. In the final show, he sang "A Song for You" by Leon Russell. He also performed a duet of "Beneath Your Beautiful" with Emeli Sandé.
For his winner's song, Dalton sang "The Power of Love." He performed this as a duet with James Arthur. James Arthur had won The X Factor in 2012. Dalton Harris was announced as the winner of the show!

After The X Factor
On December 15, 2019, Dalton released a new song called "Cry." He performed this song live on the final of The X Factor: The Band on the same day. In 2023, a documentary film about his life, called Dalton's Dream, was released.
