Daniel Jonathon Lobb (born on January 7, 1972) is a British former tennis player who later became a popular TV presenter. Many people know him from co-hosting the morning show Daybreak on ITV from 2010 to 2012. Since 2015, he has also been a co-presenter for the show Cowboy Builders on Channel 5.

Early Life of Dan Lobb
Dan Lobb grew up in a place called Colden Common, which is near Winchester in Hampshire, England. He went to Peter Symonds College in Winchester. There, he studied subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Economics.
Dan Lobb's Tennis Journey
Dan Lobb received help from an organization called College Prospects of America. This helped him get a tennis scholarship to the University of Tennessee at Martin in the USA. He was recognized as an All-American for his tennis skills. He also graduated with high honors from the Business school.
After coaching tennis at different clubs in London, Lobb played tennis professionally for three years. In 1997, he reached a high British ranking of 18. He stopped playing professionally in 1998. For the next three years, he coached tennis and also worked as a model. He also got involved in sports PR and marketing in London.
Dan Lobb's TV Career
In 2001, Dan Lobb started working part-time at a local cable TV station. He helped the sports producer there. Soon, he got the chance to present a live show himself. From there, he moved to 5 News.
Working at Sky Sports
In January 2002, Sky Sports offered him a contract. He mostly presented on Sky Sports News. In October 2007, he began presenting The Club on Sky Poker. This was a fun show about Poker. He presented it with Matt Broughton.
On December 30, 2008, Dan Lobb made his last appearance on Sky Sports News. His co-presenter, Simon Thomas, thanked him for seven years of work. Simon joked that Dan was "still the only presenter to have beat Tim Henman". This was a funny reference to Dan's professional tennis career. In May 2009, Lobb became a sports presenter for Sky News.
Moving to ITV and Daybreak
Dan Lobb joined GMTV as the sports reporter in January 2010. He then moved to the new morning show, Daybreak, when it started on September 6, 2010. He became the sports editor and a stand-in presenter.
On September 2, 2011, he took over from Adrian Chiles as the Friday co-presenter of Daybreak. Then, on December 6, 2011, he took over from Chiles full-time for a while. Aled Jones was later chosen as the permanent main presenter. Dan Lobb left Daybreak on August 31, 2012.
Strictly Come Dancing and Other Shows
On September 6, 2011, it was announced that Dan Lobb would be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. This popular dance show is on BBC One. He was partnered with professional dancer Katya Virshilas. He was the second person to be voted off the show that season.
In January 2013, he presented a special Ping pong event for Sky Sports. In 2015, Lobb returned to TV as a co-presenter of Cowboy Builders on Channel 5.
Dan Lobb has also worked as a commentator for Wimbledon tennis broadcasts. In 2023, he released his first documentary film, called Silver Servers. It is about older tennis players, including Kingdon Van Nostrand and John Powless.
