Danbury is a small city located in Woodbury County, Iowa, in the United States. It is part of the larger Sioux City metropolitan area. In 2020, about 320 people lived there.
Danbury has two churches: St. Mary's Catholic Church and the United Methodist Church. The city also celebrates a special fall event called Corn Days during the harvest season.

History of Danbury
A post office first opened in Danbury in 1877. The city's name is a mix of two words. It comes from the name of its founder, Daniel Thomas, and the county it is in, Woodbury.
Geography and Location
Danbury is found at 42°14′10″N 95°43′18″W / 42.23611°N 95.72167°W. It is located right next to the Maple River.

Danbury has its own weekly newspaper called The Danbury Review. Michael Buth publishes the paper, and Lynn Buth creates and edits it. They bought the newspaper in August 1999.
Education in Danbury
Public schools in Danbury are run by the Maple Valley–Anthon–Oto Community School District. This district was formed in 2012. It combined the Maple Valley district and the Anthon–Oto district.
