Daniel Andrew Sharman (born on April 25, 1986) is an actor from England. He is well-known for playing different characters in popular TV shows. These include Isaac Lahey in Teen Wolf (from 2012 to 2014), Kaleb Westphall / Kol Mikaelson in The Originals (from 2014 to 2015), and Troy Otto in Fear the Walking Dead (in 2017 and 2023). He also played Lorenzo de' Medici in Medici: The Magnificent (in 2018) and the Weeping Monk in Cursed (in 2020). Daniel Sharman also appeared in the movie Immortals in 2011.

Early Life and Acting Start
Daniel Sharman grew up in Hackney, London. He began acting when he was just nine years old. He tried out for the Royal Shakespeare Company, which is a very famous theater group, and was chosen from many other children.
He loved acting from the start. He said it was "fantastic as a kid" to be in plays like Macbeth and Henry VI with all the costumes and action. Sharman performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in two plays: The Park in 1995 and Macbeth in 1996.
He went to Mill Hill School and the Arts Educational School in London. While in school, he acted in a play called "Kvetch" that was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. He also acted in a play called The Winslow Boy in 2002 when he was 16.
From 2004 to 2007, Daniel Sharman studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He earned a special degree in acting. After finishing his studies, he performed in many plays in London and other parts of Europe.
Daniel Sharman's Acting Career
Daniel Sharman's first movie role was in an independent film called The Last Days of Edgar Harding. In this movie, he played a musician. In 2010, he was chosen to play Ares, the Greek god of war, in the fantasy movie Immortals. This movie came out in 2011. At first, it was hard for him to get used to acting for movies, but he learned quickly. Sharman also appeared in the horror movie The Collection, which was released in November 2012.

Sharman has also been in several TV shows. He appeared in Judge John Deed, Inspector Lewis, and TV movies like Starting Over and When Calls the Heart.
Becoming a Teen Wolf
In 2012, Daniel Sharman got a big role as Isaac Lahey, a werewolf, in the supernatural drama series Teen Wolf on MTV. He was a recurring character in seasons 2 and 3. In 2013, he also narrated the audiobook for Clockwork Princess, a popular young adult novel. In March 2014, after the third season of Teen Wolf ended, it was announced that Sharman would be leaving the show to try other acting opportunities.
Other TV Roles
In May 2014, he joined the cast of The Originals as Kaleb Westphall. In March 2015, Sharman was chosen for the main role in a medical drama pilot called LFE. However, the show was not picked up by the network. That same year, he acted in a play called Off the Main Road at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
In 2017, he became a regular cast member on AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He played the character Troy Otto. The third season of the show started on June 5, 2017. Sharman returned to play Troy Otto again in the eighth season of Fear the Walking Dead in 2023.
On August 10, 2017, it was announced that Sharman would play the main character, Lorenzo de' Medici, in Medici: The Magnificent. He played this role for two seasons. These two seasons were the second and third parts of the Medici series. They took place 20 years after the first season, Medici: Masters of Florence.
In March 2019, Sharman joined Cursed, a Netflix TV series. This show is a new version of the famous Arthurian legend stories. He played the Weeping Monk, who was also Lancelot.
On January 6, 2022, it was announced that Sharman joined the main cast of the Sky Max series A Town Called Malice. In this show, he plays Kelly Lord, who is the middle child of the Lord family.
