He played for the New York Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals. The Giants picked him in the 1980 NFL draft. Danny Ray Pittman was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up and went to John Muir High School in Pasadena, California.
College Football Days
Danny Pittman started his college football journey at Pasadena City College. He played there from 1976 to 1977.
After that, he joined the Wyoming Cowboys at the University of Wyoming. He played for them in 1978 and 1979. He was a "letterman" for two years, which means he earned an award for playing well in a sport.
In 1976, he caught 15 passes for 367 yards. He also scored three touchdowns. He returned 14 kicks for 271 yards. As a senior in 1979, he caught 41 passes for 733 yards. He scored six touchdowns and returned 16 kicks for 333 yards.

New York Giants (1980–1983)
The New York Giants chose Danny Pittman in the fourth round of the 1980 NFL draft. He was the 90th player picked overall.
