Dara Reneé is a talented American actress, model, rapper, singer, and songwriter. She is well-known for her roles as Kourtney Greene in the Disney+ show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. She also played Uliana in the movie Descendants: The Rise of Red.

Dara Reneé's Early Life and Family
Dara Reneé was born in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Baltimore, where her mother, Kimberly Brooks, started a special school. This school, called Encouraging Youth To Dream, helps young people learn about performing arts. It is a non-profit school, meaning it uses its money to help the students and community.
Dara's mother is also an actress. Her grandmother was part of a music group in the 1960s called The Royalettes. Dara went to John Paul Regional Catholic School in Milford Mill. She first tried out for theater shows in New York. Later, she moved back to California to finish high school. She attended Charter High School of the Arts (CHAMPS) in Van Nuys.

Dara Reneé started her acting career in 2018. Her first role was Savannah in the Disney Channel Original Movie Freaky Friday.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
Dara Reneé became a star in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. She plays Kourtney, who is a makeup artist and the best friend of the main character, Nini. The show first aired in November 2019.
When Dara first tried out, Kourtney was only supposed to be in one episode. But Dara did such a great job that she was asked to become a regular cast member. This meant she would be in many more episodes. She even helped create the show's version of the song "Bop to the Top". Starting in the second season, Dara's real-life mother played Kourtney's mom, Michelle, on the show!
