David Patrick George Burke (born May 25, 1934 – died May 10, 2026) was a talented British actor. He was best known for his role as Dr. John Watson. He played this character in the first series of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes from 1984 to 1986. In this popular TV show, Jeremy Brett starred as Sherlock Holmes. Burke also took on the role of Joseph Stalin in the TV series Reilly, Ace of Spies. He appeared in many other TV shows and films throughout his long career.
