David de la Fuente Rasilla was born on May 4, 1981, in Reinosa, Cantabria, Spain. He is a Spanish professional road bicycle racer. This means he rides bicycles in races on roads. He currently rides for a team called Aviludo–Louletano–Loulé Concelho.

David de la Fuente is well-known for his exciting racing style. He often tried to break away from the main group of riders. This made races very interesting to watch.

In the 2006 Tour de France, he wore the Polka Dot jersey. This special jersey is given to the best climber in the race. He wore it after Stage 2 and again from Stage 11 to 15.
