Day'Ron Yusha Sharpe (born November 6, 2001) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Brooklyn Nets in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Growing Up and High School Basketball
Day'Ron Sharpe started his high school basketball journey at South Central High School in North Carolina. As a sophomore, he scored about 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds per game. In his junior year, he helped his team win the NCHSAA Class 4A state championship. They had an amazing record of 30 wins and only 1 loss.
Later, Day'Ron moved to Montverde Academy for his final high school year. There, his team went undefeated with a 25–0 record. They were ranked the number one team in the country. Day'Ron was chosen as a McDonald's All-American, which is a big honor for high school basketball players.
He was considered a top player for college. He decided to play for North Carolina in 2018.
College Basketball Career
Day'Ron Sharpe played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels. In his very first game on November 25, 2020, he scored 13 points and got 10 rebounds. This is called a "double-double" because he reached double digits in two different stats. He was one of only four North Carolina players to get a double-double in their first game.
As a freshman, he averaged 9.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. After his freshman year, Day'Ron decided to enter the 2021 NBA draft. This meant he was ready to become a professional basketball player.

Day'Ron Sharpe was chosen by the Phoenix Suns as the 29th pick in the 2021 NBA draft. Soon after, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. This is how he became a professional player for the Nets.

On January 13, 2022, Day'Ron had a great game against the Chicago Bulls. He scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in just 21 minutes. This was his highest score in a game at that time.
In January 2024, Day'Ron had a minor injury to his left knee. He took some time off to recover.
On March 20, 2024, he played against the New Orleans Pelicans. In that game, he got an impressive 17 rebounds. This was his personal best for rebounds in a single game.
