Daynia La-Force is an American women's basketball coach. She has spent many years coaching basketball teams. She coached college women's basketball for 25 years. In 2021, she worked as an assistant coach for the WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream.

Her Basketball Journey
Daynia La-Force played college basketball at Georgetown University from 1991 to 1995. After her playing days, she decided to become a coach.
Starting as an Assistant Coach
La-Force began her coaching career as an assistant. She worked with the LIU Brooklyn team from 1995 to 2002. Later, she was an assistant coach for St. John's from 2002 to 2005.
Becoming a Head Coach
Daynia La-Force then became a head coach. Her first head coaching job was at the Division II University of New Haven in 2005. After one year, she moved to Division I Northeastern University. She coached the Northeastern Huskies from 2006 to 2014. In 2013, she was named the CAA Coach of the Year. This award showed how well she was leading her team.
Coaching the Rhode Island Rams
In May 2014, Daynia La-Force became the head coach for the Rhode Island Rams women's basketball team. This was a big step in her career. When she was hired, she made history. She became the first minority woman head coach at the University of Rhode Island. She coached the Rams until 2019.
Professional Coaching
After her time in college basketball, La-Force moved to professional basketball. Since 2020, she has been an assistant coach for the WNBA's Atlanta Dream.
Family and Basketball
Daynia La-Force's son, Terance Mann, is also a talented basketball player. He played college basketball for Florida State. Today, he plays in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks.
